If you answered yes to two of the three questions above, then Character Quest might be for you!

Character Quest is a year long leadership development program in partnership with Harborside Academy, Carthage College and Character Quest LLC. The program starts out with an intense summer training in Galena Illinois where students work together in small groups to accomplish challenging tasks. During the summer training, the 10th and 11th graders go through the orienteering program which includes several challenging group activities and a night orienteering challenge. The 12th graders participate in the Character Quest commando program. Students in the Commando Program complete orienteering activities and complete team challenges that include paint ball activities.

studentsThroughout the school year, the Character Quest Club continues to meet one time per month before school. During these meetings, Harborside students interact with the students from Carthage College in an effort for everyone to become the best leader that they can be. Conversations in this club are sincere and focus on helping all participants to grow into amazing young leaders.

Students that participated in the summer training are already considered members of the club and are encouraged to participate in all the Monday morning meetings. Participants from last year and new10th – 12th grade students that were not able to attend the summer training are also invited to attend. If you want to become a better leader, please attend these meetings.
